FAQ

What is the Roosevelt Network?

The Roosevelt Network was the original name of the Bruin Policy Institute and was associated with a national network of policy writers actively working within college campuses. The Network has now disbanded and individual chapters have rebranded. The goals of the Bruin Policy Institute is still the same however our interests and scope is more tailored to the needs of our UCLA and Los Angeles community!

What do club members do?

Our members attend weekly meetings to learn more about policy-making and how to create meaningful social change. They choose issues that they are interested in and work in teams to create policy memos, op-eds and research to advocate for their cause. They have the opportunity to publish their work in the year-end journal and can participate in lobbying trips with other chapters. We also have exciting programming throughout the year in terms of debates, workshops, and panel discussions.

How do I get involved?

We open the yearly application process at the beginning of the Fall Quarter, which consists of an application discussing your policy interests, an interview, and acceptance into the organization.
